The POA Caregiver Professional Program

For professionals who serve people acting under a Power of Attorney.

What the program is

The POA Caregiver™ Professional Program teaches professionals to recognize the person in front of them who is carrying Power of Attorney responsibility — often alongside caregiving — and to support that person within the professional's own scope. It is built on The 5 Phases of the POA Journey™ (PREPARE, ESTABLISH, ORGANIZE, ACT, TRANSITION) and the 3 R's: Recognize, Reassure, Refer. It is national foundational education; it does not teach every state's statutes and pairs with POA Caregiver state editions.

Who it is for

Insurance and financial professionals, advisors, trust officers, care managers, social workers, discharge planners, senior living and home care staff, and legal support staff — anyone who is a family's first call when a Power of Attorney is signed or becomes active.

What is included

The professional curriculum — The 5 Phases; the 3 R's in practice; the two roles and how they intersect; documentation, institutions, and capacity; recognizing when a licensed professional is needed; guiding families to education and qualified help within your scope.
Certificate of Completion — issued when you finish the program; yours to keep.

How to complete it

Coursework

Complete all professional modules and the knowledge check after each module. Completed program worksheets are the applied-practice record.

Agreement

Signed Professional Program Code of Conduct, including scope limitations and the education-only acknowledgment.

Certificate

A Certificate of Completion is issued on completion. Education only: it is not a license, credential, or professional designation and confers no authority to give legal, medical, tax, or financial advice. Participants agree to refer families to licensed professionals for such matters.

Program fee

$599, one time. You get the full professional course and your Certificate of Completion. There is no subscription and no renewal.

The POA Caregiver Directory is a separate program with its own terms — see the Directory Listing Terms.
